Welcome to our June Blog! I wanted to let you know about our new improved website - www.Muck-A-Pup.com. For those of you who have never heard of us, we have many years of experience in artisan soap and lotion making and in the use of essential oils to fragrance our products. Coming from a family that had always kept and loved dogs, we wanted to produce a range of natural and gentle products, that are safe to use. Our first products were fresheners. Having been delighted that these products were loved by our customers, we developed a range of rich lather shampoos, and then finally some balms for sore paws and noses. To fragrance our products we use essential oils and natural isolates to generate a scent that is safe to use on dogs and conforms to the various legislation, guidelines, and scientific/veterinary knowledge. In terms of how we select fragrance materials, we always try to choose oils that are good for the skin and coat or have calming properties. And we do tend to use plant extracts, e.g. calendula and chamomile which we feel help nourish and soothe the skin and coat.
