Mango Butter - Moisturising and Rejuvenating

The mango tree is scientifically known as Mangifera indica. Its seeds are used to extract mango butter through friction or cold pressing the kernels from dried mango stones. The butter produced is a common ingredient in body care products, skin formulas, and soaps, and is valued for its moisturising properties that promote healing and rejuvenation. It contains essential fatty acids like stearic and oleic acids, along with smaller amounts of palmitic, linoleic, and arachidic acids. Unrefined mango butter also contains polyphenols and phytosterols, known for their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits.

In our paw and nose balms, we use mango butter as a natural and safe moisturising agent for sore paws and noses. You’ll see we blend it with a variety of oils or waxes depending on whether we would like our product to act as a barrier (as in the nose balm) or to be rapidly absorbed (as in the paw balm). All our balms products are lick safe.
